ABOUT DAVE EDWARDS
Dave is a Certified Wildlife Biologist with more than 15 years of professional experience managing wildlife, wildlife habitat, and hunting programs across the country. He earned a B.S. degree in Forest Resources and Conservation from the University of Florida and his Masters of Science degree in Wildlife Management from Mississippi State University researching the relationship between predators and wild turkeys. As manager of Westervelt Wildlife Services for 10 years, he led a team of biologists that provided wildlife management guidance on more than 1 million acres across the Southeast. Dave specializes in recreational property management, trophy white-tailed deer, turkey, quail, and waterfowl management and developing innovative wildlife habitat management and hunting strategies to satisfy the needs of hunters, landowners and wildlife alike. He was honored as Quality Deer Management Association’s 2007 Professional Deer Manager of the Year for his dedication, influence and efforts in deer management across the country. He was also nominated in the 2011 Alabama Governor’s Conservation Achievements Awards as Alabama’s Wildlife Conservationist of the Year. He currently chairs a committee providing guidance to Alabama’s state wildlife agency regarding legalization of baiting for deer hunting. Dave is currently the Hunting and Fishing Manager of Cabin Bluff, a unique hunting and fishing lodge located near Cumberland Island, GA. There, he leads efforts to create exceptional outdoor experiences for their guests that include quail, hog, deer, and turkey hunting as well as inshore and offshore saltwater fishing. In addition to his roles at Cabin Bluff, Dave and his wife Heather, also a wildlife biologist, own and operate Tall Tines Wildlife and Hunting Consultants where they provide wildlife and habitat management guidance to hunters and landowners across the Southeast.
